Emerging London-based experimentalists Kyoto Kyoto have shared new single “Dart Oporto 56“, the follow up to “Gaacher Blitz”, the bands debut single released earlier in the year.

There’s a surreal saunter to Kyoto Kyoto’s latest single that swaggers and swings in every direction you didn’t think it would take. Combining elements of Krautrock and Math Rock, they create a sound that is controlled within the chaos. As the droning guitars become fiercer the song shifts from its sleek beginning to an all out battle of which instrument can become the most tumultuous. This is the sound of the future and Kyoto Kyoto are delivering it now.

The song, written in a recording studio housed above the metro station “Oporto” in Madrid, “is essentially an ode to people whom I consider to be larger than life,” recounts lead singer Lev Ceylan. “People who lose themselves completely in their craft. And reflecting on how they must deal with the hard times and obstacles they face.
